from Corinna Fresen
Every Saturday morning there is a weekly market on the forecourt of the Ludwigskirche. The dealers are from the region and primarily present seasonal goods. The market is the perfect opportunity to do a little weekly shopping. You get fresh vegetables and fruit, various baked goods, but also animal products such as meat and cheese.
Here’s my tip for you: Pastatum’s handmade pasta is an absolute must. At Pastatum you will find pasta in every shape and flavor imaginable. Whether you opt for classic tagliatelle with a creamy sauce or want to try something unusual like spinach and ricotta ravioli, Pastatum has something for every pasta lover. The quality and freshness of the ingredients are simply unbeatable.
Another highlight is the stand of the baker from Sarreguemines. Here you can look forward to heavenly baguettes and other fresh baked goods. The crispy baguette is an absolute classic and goes perfectly with the delicious cheeses that you can also find on the market.
The weekly market at Ludwigskirche is not only a place to shop, but also a meeting place for the local community. Here you can exchange ideas with the traders and perhaps learn one or two secret recipes from the regional cuisine.
Come by and enjoy the diversity of the region at the weekly market at the Ludwigskirche!
