- The Backery
Is a café in the center (Gerberstr. 7, 66111 Saarbrücken). Specialized in breakfast, brunch and lunch, it is suitable for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes.
Open from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 7 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm.
Reservations and card payment are possible on site. It is also possible to take drinks and food „to go“.
There are currently 26 dishes and drinks on site. The café is known for its coffee and the seasonal cakes they offer.
- Café Lolo
A very well-known and traditional café in Alt-Saarbrücken (Heuduckstraße 67, 66117 Saarbrücken). Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 7 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm.
It is known for its baking tradition, confectionery and patisserie since 1969. Café Lolo is now part of the trends and culture in the Saar region. It has been famous for its butter cake for 50 years.
There is also a literary café Lolo in the Bahnhofstraße in the bookstore Thalia, where a lot of people always gather to drink a coffee and read. It’s a very good place to meet people. Open from Monday to Saturday from 9.30 am to 6 pm.
- LUUC Saarbrücken
s a café – bar in the center of Saarbrücken (Türkenstr. 17, 66111 Saarbrücken). Open from Monday to Wednesday from 9.30 am to 8.30 pm; Thursday and Friday from 9.30 am to 10 pm; Saturday from 9.30 am to 10 pm and Sunday from 9.30 am to 8.30 pm.
The café is well known for its breakfast with its bagels and muesli. For cake lovers, there are various types of cakes and cinnamon rolls.
- Tchibo
Is known for its delicious coffee to-go. The café is popular in summer as it has a terrace. A very good address at Bahnhofstraße 50, 66111 Saarbrücken, to take a break while shopping. Sweet treats are also on offer. You can also buy coffee for your own coffee machine on site. Open Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 7.30 pm.
- Kosmos – Café & Kneipe
The Kosmos Café is a collective business in Saarbrücken (Futterstraße 4, 66111 Saarbrücken). The café is known as a relaxed place to read, work or chat. The café is also literature-oriented, with a large selection of political literature, magazines and newspapers. Kosmos also offers dishes that are entirely vegan and regional.
Open Tuesday to Thursday from 10am to midnight, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 2am, and Sunday from 10am to midnight.
- Celona
The Café & Bar Celona is located on the Berliner Promenade (Berliner Promenade 5, 66111 Saarbrücken). It is known for its variety of drinks and food. It is open all day and serves every meal, from breakfast and lunch to dinner and cocktails. The breakfast and coffee are highly appreciated by the locals.
Open from Sunday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 00 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.
- Heart Café
The café is located right next to the St-Johanner Markt (Kaltenbachstraße 6, 66111 Saarbrücken). The location is known for its party atmosphere, but also for its fine coffee and cakes.
Open from Sunday to Thursday from 10 am to 00 pm and Friday and Saturday from 10 am to open end.
- Kulturcafé
The Kulturcafé Saarbrücken is located directly in the old town (Sankt-Johanner-Markt 24, 66111 Saarbrücken). The café is renowned for its breakfast classics and homemade cake specialties. The café attaches great importance to fresh, high-quality products and nutrition.
Open from Monday to Saturday from 8.30 am to open end and on Sundays from 9 am to 11 pm.
- Café am Schloss
The Café am Schloss, as the name suggests, is located at Saarbrücken Castle (Schlossplatz 15a, 66119 Saarbrücken). Known as a restaurant, it also offers coffee and cake specialties. An ideal place to have a coffee or just a snack.
Open daily from 10 am to 11 pm.
