Welcome to Saarbrücken, dear first-year students! As you embark on your academic journey, it’s also important to explore the nightlife of this charming city. Saarbrücken, the capital of the Saarland, offers a diverse and exciting club scene that is simply ideal for students.
This guide will tell you everything you need to know about a small selection of the best clubs in Saarbrücken. After all, you shouldn’t miss out on partying after the stress of the exams!
The map below gives you a good overview of the selected clubs.
Blau Nachtclub
The club is located right in the heart of the capital in Saarbrücken St. Johann. The shopping arcade in Bahnhofstraße is in the immediate vicinity. The central location makes the club easily accessible for people living both inside and outside Saarbrücken

The atmosphere in the club is just as diverse as the music on offer! Whether it’s German rap, 2010 hits or techno, there really is something for everyone here. You can enjoy different music genres on a total of three dance floors. The club offers a varied programme that never ceases to amaze partygoers.
Take a look at the club’s Instagram page. There you will find more information about upcoming events.
Opening hours
Thursdays to Saturdays: 23:30 to 5:00
On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the club opens at 23:30 and is likely to be open until 5:00 in the morning, but sometimes even longer 😉 The club is closed the rest of the week, but the Café Bleu has been located on the ground floor since 2021. You can of course relax there during the day and recover from your wild party nights with a coffee.
In my opinion, the prices and selection of drinks are well suited to students. Typical drinks such as beer, cocktails, shots and non-alcoholic drinks are on the drinks menu. Everyone is guaranteed to find something here. Admission is not too expensive, but varies depending on the event on the evening in question and also on the days it is open. You can expect to pay between €10.00 and €15.00. However, it is not uncommon for there to be special student discounts or welcome shots. So every evening can get off to a good start!
Fun fact:
Another well-known and unique event in the nightclub is „Der Donnerstag ist Blau“. The weekend starts a little earlier here, which is particularly interesting for students, as they often don’t have lectures on Fridays.
You can also find more information about opening hours, pictures and upcoming events on their Facebook page.
Loose Club
The Loose Club is located at Kaiserstraße 10 in 66111 Saarbrücken. It’s just a 10-minute walk from Saarbrücken’s main railway station and the S-Bahn station is practically opposite the club, so you can make your way home safely after a long night out.
Opening hours
Friday and Saturday: 23:00 to 6:00
The atmosphere in the club is just as diverse as the music. You can expect a wide variety of music genres, such as hip hop, RnB and rap. The modern and inviting ambience creates a relaxed yet exciting atmosphere. The dance floor is the perfect place to get carried away by the different sounds and enjoy a great evening with your friends.
Fun fact:
The Loose Club also hosts live events by local artists from time to time, and this year’s „Kneipentour“ by Htw saar economists ended there with great success!
Want to find out more about upcoming events and stay up to date? Then why not check out the club’s official website or take a look at their Instagram page.
Silodom
Are you into techno and want to rave until dawn? Then Silodom is the place for you! This is where many techno lovers come together to share unforgettable nights in an impressive location.
Silodom is located just outside the city centre near the Osthafen at Römerbrücke 3, in 66121 Saarbrücken. However, the Saarbrücken Ost train station is about a 15-minute walk away or you can take the S-Bahn, which will also take you back to the city centre.
Opening hours
Friday and Saturday: 23:00 to 8:00
Opening hours often vary, so it’s best to check out their Instagram page or their Facebook page.
Admission prices can vary depending on the event and DJs, but the price range for admission is often between €15 and €20. The music on offer is almost as varied as the selection of drinks. The bars in the Silodom offer revellers a wide selection of drinks. There is certainly something for every taste.
My tip: why not try vodka with mate when you’re there!
Good to know:
In the summer months, the so-called „Gaertchjen“ is open. There you have the opportunity to spend relaxed afternoons and evenings outside with your friends. Also well-known is the „Ringelkiez“, which only takes place in summer. At this time of year, you can party at lunchtime and enjoy the pleasant sunshine outdoors.
Useful information:
Always remember to take your ID and student card with you, as some clubs in Saarbrücken offer special discounts for students at various events.
